Proximity

It is not enough to be in proximity to Jesus. We must have an encounter. There’s a distinction in scripture between those who simply hung around Jesus and those who were deeply impacted by him. It is no different in the church today but what we have failed to realize in two thousand years is that God does not have any acquaintances. He has sons and daughters and whether we were peasant, prostitute, or Pharisee the symptom of this familial encounter is the same.
